Susan’s Meet Outfit

I have finally finished Susan’s “meet”outfit based on the illustrations in Molly’s book series. I took some liberties, so it’s not exactly like the illustrations, but I did base my design off of the pictures.

This is the “Meet Molly” illustration from which I drew my inspiration.

I think these three best friends look so cute together!

Susan can ditch the cardigan for just her blouse, just in time for warmer weather!

I just love creating outfits based on book illustrations. I have many more to do on my list!

Thanks! The cardigan is made out of an actual person-sized cardigan and it ended up being tricky. There are some mistakes, so don’t look too closely. 🙂

  4. I love it! Susan looks really cute and her outfit looks a lot like the illustration.
I know Allison isn’t really their friend, but it would be cool if you made a Allison doll. Have you ever considered doing that? 🙂

Thanks! Yes, I have actually! My mom has a Truly Me #22 (blond hair, blue eyes) that would make a perfect Allison. So yes, making her an Allison outfit so she can time-travel to the 40s every so often is something I would like to do!

Wow, can I “double like” this post? When whole outfit is stupendous and and socks and shoes are just perfect with it. Such beautiful colors on the cardigan and skirt. Impressive 🤗

Thank you! No, I just sew for fun, but maybe I will someday when I am a more experienced sewer.

Adorable! That turned out great. Are those actual buttonholes on the cardigan? This is such a fun idea. 🙂

Thanks! No, I was way too chicken for button holes. They are fake. 🙂
