Julie and Ivy look so sweet in their sundresses in this illustration in “Julie Saves the Eagles”.
Poor Ivy has such a small collection provided for her from American Girl, so I am always looking for fun outfits I can sew for her. I decided this fun and summery sundress from the illustration would be just perfect.
Julie and Ivy are ready for a warm day of eagle watching now!
And…I made a second copy of the dress, which is available for sale in my Etsy shop!

I feel like it’s been so long since I’ve worn a sundress…it would help if the sun would actually come out!
I love how you are making outfits from the books that AG never did, such a fun idea! This turned out great.

I’ve thought about doing a giveaway with an outfit or two…any suggestions as to what kind?

Well, I personally would love a historical-themed dress for my dolls, but I don’t know about other people. You could do a poll to find out what people would want.
