Molly’s Slumber Party

Molly hosted a fabulous slumber party this weekend with her friends Linda, Susan, and Emily!

They played Sorry, which was a popular board game in Molly’s time just like it is today. IMG_0528 They borrowed Molly’s sister Jill’s Seventeen Magazine, which was a brand new publication in September of 1944. IMG_0536 IMG_0542 Molly wanted to tell some ghost stories, but Linda found herself getting sleepy…IMG_0554 Fortunately Susan had a more exciting idea! IMG_0564 IMG_0567 Susan decided to curl Molly’s hair with rags, which has been an effective hair-curling method for generations. IMG_0572Linda wasn’t sure she was doing it right.
IMG_0575 Emily sportingly agreed to let Linda do her hair so Susan could finish Molly’s. IMG_0579 IMG_0581 IMG_0583

IMG_0588 The girls thought Molly looked kind of scary, so Molly again suggested telling ghost stories! Or going to go scare her brother Ricky! IMG_0591 They agreed on ghost stories, so they settled in…IMG_0595“It was a dark and stormy night…”
